The International Food and Music Festival celebrate the multi-cultural diversity that exists in the Town of Gravelbourg. In fact, residents of 20 different ethnicities now call Gravelbourg home. With a rich Francophone heritage and an exciting influx of new cultures Gravelbourg is quickly solidifying itself as a cultural melting pot in Saskatchewan.
Representatives from each country run a food booth which serves traditional cuisine. Each food booth is decorated with items that represent their respective country and heritage while the participants wear their traditional clothing.
In addition to the cultural food exposition, international music and dance groups perform each year.
Over 15 different ethnic food pavillions representing various countries such as: Chile, Holland, Germany, Laos, China, Korea, Columbia, the Philippines and many more... Event hosted by "A Touch of Europe Committee".
Regina, SK - Founded in 1978, The Regina Austrian Edelweiss Dancers have been encouraging and maintaining Austrian Dancing Heritage through performances at various functions like dances, Oktoberfest, nursing homes, anniversaries, cultural festivals and Mosaic. Most of the dances are inspired by Austrian and German heritage and culture, and capture the folk dances of the mountain villages of the Alps and surrounding regions. The dances are passed on from dancer to dancer. The senior members now regularly perform over 30 dances.
