Get ready for the 13th annual Summer Solstice Festival d'été
The festival kicks off on Friday, June 21st with the Solstice International Food Festival at La Palestre (arena). Travel to Holland, Mexico, Korea, Germany and many other countries and sample their traditional cuisine. This year's theme is Mexico!
On Saturday, June 22nd, join us on the Courthouse lawn for a fantastic array of activities for the whole family. Venues include the Kids' Corner, Artisan Village, Literary Corner, Workshops, Art Exhibition and parade. Discover your artistic side while the kids enjoy the Kids' Corner featuring face painting, crafts, puppet shows, balloon sculpting, magic workshops and special entertainment!
The Main Stage opens Saturday at 2:00 pm and the performances this year are hot! There is something for everyone with music ranging from Folk, Pop, Bluegrass, Country, Reggae and more. The headliners are sure to keep you dancing the night away!
2013 Summer Solstice Festival d'été Parade

The event will consist of a variety of community floats, local organizations, sport teams, agricultural interests, vintage vehicles and much more! The festivities kick off at 1:00 p.m. starting at the Parish Hall.

Preparations for the 2013 festival are well underway
Preparations for the 2013 festival are well underway and this year’s programming and events are shaping up to be some of the most accessible, innovative and interesting that we have ever offered!
This annual event is very important to the community of Gravelbourg and the surrounding area in exploring various cultures, building camaraderie, improving communication and instilling a sense of civic pride.
We look forward to working with our local community! Each year approximately 100 volunteers commit more than 2,500 hours to the success of the festival. By working together to achieve a common goal the community gains understanding and insight into future opportunities for community improvement and growth and a strong appreciation for their neighbor.
We invite you to come out and join us June 21st & 22nd! This spectacular multicultural event is fun for the whole family. Starting Friday night, the Solstice International Food Festival celebrates over a dozen countries with this year’s theme being: Mexico! We also have a Special Dance Party for the youth of our community and region!
Saturday has something for everyone with a Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Kids Corner, Artisan Market, Literary Readings, Art Show and so much more. Saturday Main Stage brings the lively rhythms polka, folk, Jamaican, country/rock and more! You may even recognize the LOCAL talent!
